Job title: Business Development Professional, Central & Eastern Europe, Russia & CIS Reporting to: Director The Company: Our client supply expert services in plastics and petrochemicals from their base in the UK to global markets. They have experienced exceptional growth over the past few years particularly in the Middle East with new petrochemical and polymer suppliers. They supply cost and productivity as well as revenue growth improvements through innovation and customer service programs. It also provides global regulatory advice and is involved in leading edge developments in new polymer applications, plastics recycling and in providing technology solutions to international companies in the energy, utilities and packaging industries. The Role: A business development professional is now required to set up and manage their operations in the CEE/Russia/CIS Region. The focus will be on targeting, winning and growing new customers in the region based on company’s full range of expert services. Working with a world class technology and business team, the scope to develop new business and extend the company brand for quality and excellence is immense. The position reports to the CEO. Experience & Qualifications Required: The ideal candidate will be a technical graduate (chemical engineering or chemistry) with a strong background in technology solution selling or technology licensing. Knowledge of and experience in the Petrochemicals or a related industry is also essential, while knowledge of regional CEE/Russia/CIS markets would be a distinct advantage. The post-holder will be a strong team player with proven inter-personal, negotiating, project management and IT skills for effective delivery. Excellent customer communication skills both written and verbal are also required. Language skills in English and another regional language are essential. The person must also be highly mobile and based in the region. Key responsibilities of the post holder: • Target and acquire new accounts in the region • Revenue growth from existing client accounts. • Provide new/existing clients with Value Based Proposals • Project manage/lead selected projects leveraging company’s resources in other regions • Develop and maintain networks in the region (technology suppliers, service suppliers, academic institutions) Salary: A very competitive base salary will be paid and with an annual profit-related bonus depending on experience. Full business expense account and opportunity for equity participation based on performance.
