K 2019 With Positive Impulses For The Sector

Weakening economic prospects, poor public opinion: the conditions in the run-up to K 2019 weighed down on plastics producers’ mood. A whole different picture was painted at the end of K: the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber once again lived up to its name and re- united well-prepared trade fair visitors and exhibitors brimming with innovations in tightly packed halls. The verdict on the part of the plastics producing industry is therefore correspondingly positive: many visitors, customers and journalists found their way to the stands, came across precisely the right topics there alongside exciting, exclusive innovations that had been “saved” for this K. By presenting solutions for a circular economy and recycling as well as state-of-the-art materials for more sustainable mobility or efficient use of raw materials the plastics producers very much struck a nerve.
